The program provides the opportunity to evaluate and integrate the Cache Cradle chemistry in its first product form – the “Cache BioLock DNA” reagent. Partner with the Cache team to assess workflow fit, operational impact, and broader adoption potential within your ecosystem.

Cache welcomes collaborators who want to modernize biomolecule storage and create more reliable, flexible access to samples across research and clinical settings.

If RNA is your molecule of choice, not DNA, we’d love to work with you as well!

Cache BioLock DNA Quick Reference Guide

Cache BioLock DNA is a novel drop-in reagent for the preservation of extracted DNA under ambient storage and shipping conditions. It is agnostic to DNA length, origin, volume, concentration, sequence, and storage container.

REAGENT INFORMATION

  • Store reagent between 2C and 35C
  • Not hazardous as classified by GHS
  • For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. Combine purified, aqueous DNA sample and BioLock DNA reagent in 2:1 volume ratio (for example, 50 µL DNA and 25 µL reagent).
  2. Mix thoroughly and store protected from light at or below room temperature.
  3. Sample dilution is recommended prior to use in some downstream applications. Contact us for more information.

BEST PRACTICES FOR LONG-TERM DNA STABILITY

  • Use sterile, nuclease-free consumables and reagents.
  • Recommended buffers for sample input are 10mM Tris, nuclease-free water, or 1X TE.
  • Avoid contamination with Fe, Cu, Ca, Mg, and peroxides.
  • Protect reagent and samples from light, especially UV and direct sunlight, during long-term storage and transport. Special precautions are not required during normal handling. Most artificial light sources (e.g. interior lab lighting conditions) do not pose appreciable risk.
  • Close sample containers completely and carefully before storage.
